GCSE Results - August 2012
This year our students have produced a stunning set of GCSE results, completely smashing all previous school records.
“85% of the grades were C or above, almost 80% of the cohort achieved five or more higher grades, and over two-thirds achieved five or more higher grades including English and Maths. In just the core subjects of English, Maths and Science there were over one hundred A* grades. It is a fitting tribute to the hard work of the students and their teachers over many years, in both their primary and secondary school.

Top individual performer was Amy Marshall of Ewloe who scored eleven A* grades in English Language, Maths, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Art, English Literature, German, Music, Religious Studies and Welsh. Just for good measure she also completed the Welsh Baccalaureate Qualification.
Other top performers were
8 A* grades for Alys Nicholls of Mold, Philippa Wright of Rhosesmor and Naomi Griffiths of Sychdyn.
7 A* grades for Robyn Dutton of Gwernymynydd and Rachel Fishwick of Carmel.
6 A* grades Matthew Hughes of Mold, Liam Ryder of Sychdyn and Jade Wilding of Pentre Halkyn.
5 A* grades for Cameron Jones of Rhydymwyn and Hugo Williams of Nannerch.
